Real food provides our body with the nutrients it needs to survive and thrive. Refined grains, like white flour, have few, if any, essential nutrients. Eating a lot of processed foods add on the calories without adding proper nutrition – “Empty Calories”
Our bodies are made to process nutrients in real food; not artificial substances. The immune system works to fight off these foreign invaders; including viruses and infections. This hard work leads our immune system to become weaker as we age.

The body rejects any substance that is not real food. It filters the “foreign stuff” through our detoxifying organs, such as the liver, kidneys, digestive track, skin, etc.
Overtime, the growing toxic load overburdens these organs. One of the reasons most people lack knowledge about this fact is deceptive marketing practices ⬇️
Many food manufacturers disguise substances as healthy foods. For example, cereals made from wheat are often stripped of nutrients. The manufacture’s add some vitamins and other nutrients and markets the product as fortified with (whatever additives)
Food is love. It’s what helps us thrive and stay alive
Though some junk foods have a bit of nutrients, the body doesn’t respond to the additives and artificial ingredients the same as it does to the “real thing.”
So, selecting foods that are best for our unique bodies becomes more challenge with all the contradictory and confusing messages from the media. For that reason, please feel free to comment with questions.
